Farm Perks and Deductions

What Are Farm Perks?
Farm perks are benefits in kind provided to farm workers, such as housing, meals, transport, PPE, or tools. Under SD13, employers may deduct the value of these perks from wages, but strict limits apply.
SD13 Deduction Limits
SD13 limits deductions for perks to protect workers from excessive wage reductions:
- Housing: maximum 10% of wage
- Meals: maximum 20% of wage
- Transport: maximum 7.5% of wage
- Total of all perks: maximum 37.5% of wage

Payslip Breakdown
