Performance Reviews & Probation

Performance Reviews
Regular performance reviews help you track how employees are doing and provide a record if performance becomes an issue. Go to an employee's profile → Performance → New Review.
You can rate different areas, add comments, and set goals. The review is saved to the employee's record and included in the CCMA Evidence Pack if needed.
Probation Tracking
When adding an employee, you can set a probation period (typically 3 months). SA Wages Pro tracks the probation end date and sends a reminder before it expires.
During probation, the employee still has full rights under the BCEA. However, the dismissal process is slightly different — you must give guidance and a reasonable opportunity to improve before dismissal for poor performance.
Probation does NOT mean you can dismiss without process. The employee still has rights. You must follow fair procedure.
