Season-Completion Bonuses

What Is a Season-Completion Bonus?
A season-completion bonus is a lump sum paid to workers who complete a full season with a minimum attendance percentage. It incentivises workers to stay for the entire season rather than leaving early.
Setting Up a Season Bonus
Go to Settings → Season Bonuses. Click "Add Bonus" and select the employee, enter a season name (e.g. "Grape harvest 2026"), start and end dates, bonus amount, and minimum attendance percentage (default 80%).
Pro-Rating
By default, bonuses are all-or-nothing — the worker either qualifies or doesn't. You can enable pro-rating so workers who fall below the target still receive a proportional amount based on their actual attendance.
For example: 70% attendance with a R1,000 bonus and 80% target → pro-rated to R875 (70/80 × R1,000).
On the Payslip
Season bonuses appear in the agri summary step when generating a payslip for a period that includes the season end date. The system evaluates attendance automatically and shows whether the worker qualifies.
Once paid, the bonus status changes from "pending" to "paid" and is linked to the payslip.
