Farm-Wide Weather Events
Weather events affect the entire farm, not individual workers. When you log a rain day or work stoppage, it is recorded once and applies to all workers who were present that day.
How to Log a Weather Event
Open the Farm Logbook and select the date. Click the weather banner or "Log Weather Event" button. Choose the event type (rain, equipment failure, other), whether notice was given, and the hours lost.
Workers who were present are automatically marked with "rain day" status and receive pay according to the BCEA 4-hour rule.
Notice Given
If workers were told not to come in (notice given), different pay rules may apply. The system tracks this for compliance purposes.
