How Data Retention Works

The 6-Month Retention Window

After your subscription is cancelled or expires, your data is retained for 6 months. During this window you can log in, view your records, and export data. All access is read-only.

What Remains Visible

All employee records, payslips, contracts, compliance data, and documents remain visible during the retention window. You can download or export anything you need.

After the Retention Period

After 6 months, personal data is anonymised in accordance with POPIA. This means employee names, ID numbers, banking details, and other identifying information are permanently removed. Aggregate data may be retained for legal compliance (e.g., BCEA 5-year payroll record requirement).

Agri Data

Farm worker data, piece-rate logs, work stoppages, and farm perks follow the same retention rules as standard employee data.
