Agri Pay Modes Explained

Three Pay Modes
When adding a farm or seasonal worker, you choose how piece-rate logging affects their payslip:
- Fixed rate — Worker gets a normal daily/hourly/monthly salary. Piece-rate data is tracked for reporting only and does not change the payslip.
- Fixed + piece-rate — Worker gets a base salary plus piece-rate earnings on top. Both appear on the payslip.
- Piece-rate only — Worker is paid entirely based on output. No base rate is needed. Minimum wage top-ups apply if earnings fall short.
Which Mode to Choose
Most permanent farm workers use "fixed rate" — they earn a set wage and piece-rate is for tracking productivity. Seasonal workers during harvest are often "piece-rate only". Some farms use "fixed + piece-rate" for a guaranteed base plus performance pay.
You can change the pay mode at any time from the employee's edit page. It only affects future payslips.
